Gill Travis (Crosland Heath)
Hello ladies
It's a great honour to be your President & I was delighted to accept the role at the recent AGM.
I'm really looking forward to the coming year, working alongside & supporting Penny, Pat, the Vets Committee & the Yorkshire Team in Richardson Trophy matches. We have a fantastic organisation, with hard working & enthusiastic officials & I hope you will all help them as I intend to do, as they are all volunteers helping you to enjoy your game.
2022 provides competition venues in all 4 corners of the County from Saltburn in the north to Abbyedale in the south, to Keighley in the west & Hornsea on the east coast. This year, try playing somewhere new, a course you haven't been to before. They are all great venues & places at your 'favourite' clubs are more likely to be over-subscribed!
Let's hope that this year is a more 'normal' year& that we can all meet up, chat to old friends, meet & make new friends, watch & play great golf (at least some of the time!) & have a few laughs along the way.
Enjoy your Winter break & I hope to see some of you at Cleckheaton in April!
Best wishes to all.
Gill Travis
