Dear Club Representatives

Thank you for being the YVLGA representative.

2012 is the fifth year that 10 year members revert to annual membership. We hope that they will re-join and pay £5 per year annual subscription. Please make your members aware of all the opportunities they have available to them, especially the new competitions.

You should have a list of your current members and a slip of paper with the specific 10 year members who now need to pay an annual subscription.

Annual members pay £5 per year and new applications and subscriptions must be received by 1 March in the playing year.

Cheques should be made payable to Y.V.L.G.A. and sent to Anthea Smithies (address available on the downloadable application form).

Many clubs have now managed to reduce the LIFE membership list by half. Any lady who has not played in YVLGA competitions in the last 5 years should now have NP against their name. If circumstances change, they can easily be re-instated. Please also delete or amend the list as necessary so that it is up to date.

2012 starts with the championship at Scarcroft Golf Club as a great taster for the season. The diary for 2012 is available at your club or you can download it from the website. (Look on the Competition Dates page)

The committee realises that YVLGA needs to move forward, we have a very successful county team but our aim is to encourage players of all abilities to continue playing golf.

If you have not received your mailing or have any queries please e-mail Mrs Gill Travis Hon. Secretary and remember to put 'YVLGA' in the subject box.

The role of the club representative

  1. To liaise with your club's YVLGA members and the YVLGA committee in case of queries and problems and to pass on information from YVLGA to our members.
  2. To collect annual membership fees and pay by 1 March of the playing year.
  3. To collect annual membership fees from 10 year members whose 10 year period of membership has expired. (The first of these subscriptions were due in 2008)
  4. Check your list of members for playing and non-playing members so YVLGA can pay to the Northern Veterans Association, the annual per capita fee for playing members.
  5. Send to the Competition Secretary your members' entries to competitions by the deadlines printed on the posters.
  6. Make your members aware of the benefits of joining the YVLGA.

Anthea Smithies  keeps all the records of membership.

Please use the e-mail link to contact her to remove any members who have not played for over five years.

Remember to put 'YVLGA' in the subject box when e-mailing

If you have any new members an  APPLICATION FORM  can be downloaded here.
