Championship
The County Championship this year was held at Hessle Golf Club 26th to 28th April 2011.
In the absence of the County Captain Rosie Hickie, the Vice Captain Lynn Aspland presented the trophies.
Message from Rosie Hickie - County Captain
Thank you so much to everyone who as sent their good wishes to me over the last few weeks. It has helped to get me through these early weeks. I am so sorry I missed the Championships at Hessle, but several kind friends kept me up to speed with texts and a few quick visits.
I was delighted that Sandra Paul won my championship and that she will be leading from the front in team matches. Congratulations to all of you who did well and qualified. I hope to be in touch with you personally at some stage. The committee and my club were wonderful in running the competition and I have some lovely photos to give me an idea of the week.
Lynn Aspland has been a great help in taking over from me for the next few months and I know you are in capable hands. I will be around for the latter part of the season and look forward to meeting you all then.

Championship News - 97 entries from 35 clubs. On the day 90 competitors took part in the 2011 Championship at Hessle Golf Club. Our Captain Rosie Hickie had set up all the necessary help at her home club and we were blessed with a fine spring day for the qualifying round. The prize table looked splendid and the flowers around the clubhouse were lovely.
